Samir Adrovic received the most praises by the patients

When your job means love, and the willingness to help a life definition. Almost all employees at “Acibadem Sistina” Hospital deserve these epithets, and therefore they get compliments. Samir is the employee with the most praises for his job in 2018, received both by patients and the colleagues. The paramedic at the Surgery Ward says that he willingly undertakes every job engagement, wishing to do his best. Of course, working at “Acibadem Sistina” means working as a team and he does not forget that spirit. He spreads his enthusiasm among the colleagues.

“I put myself in patients’ place, and they are always right” – Samir received the most praises by the patients

Patients are always right and their opinion and attitude are the first task for Samir, a paramedic. Their desires and demands led Samir through everyday obligations, and it is the case every day in the past nine years. It is the time he has been working at the hospital ward of the Surgery Department, virtually from the first day at the Hospital. He received the most praises by patients in the year that passed as well as in the previous one. And he is modest,  good, humane. His humanity distinguishes him among the colleagues. It is confirmed by the compliments, but also the verbal commends and nice words.

According to the data, Samir received 48 compliments in 2018, Dr. Olivera Lekovska has 26 compliments, and nurse Jasmina Rusmir has 25 compliments.

Samir approaches his work sincerely and he tries unreservedly to help patients at the Surgery Department in every manner. He says a person who works with people must be careful, know to evaluate characters, but also find a way to approach them. He does not hide that he meets specific patients too.

“It is necessary to be tolerant, calm. Patients deserve to be heard and I do it. I put myself in their place and understand how they feel. I behave equally to all patients, no matter of their situations. And they respond differently; there are some patients with more demands, but also those who are more withdrawn”, says Samir.

He adds that the patients thank him personally, address him with nice words, as he treats them. He is pleased when he pleases them and the positive vibrations are mutual. His mission is to help since no one come at the hospital for no reason. The thought that the patient must not be burdened guides him and he tries to reduce their problem on a daily basis.

“It’s a great feeling, but I must say that privately I am the same. I work at ‘Acibadem Sistina’ since the very beginning. This is the ninth year, and I’ve been at the Surgery Department all the time. It is the most serious sector with no room for mistake”, says Samir.

However, he is not alone in trying to help; the department works as a team. All of them keep trying to help patients every day. He believes that patients are always right, and even thinks that their pain is his too.

“I’ve decided to do this and I will help. We put in their place, trying to understand them completely. The teamwork is very important; it is the most significant if we want to work well and efficiently”, recounts Samir.

Samir continues his work this year along. Every compliment is a new motive, a new challenge.
