DEEP GRATITUDE TO DR KARAGJOZOV FOR SAVING OLD MILIVOJ’S FOOT FROM GANGRENE

31.07.2019

Another life story was happily ended at the Acibadem Sistina Hospital. The family of the patient who came to our hospital with a serious foot infection is deeply grateful and happy that Milivoj Pavleski is now moving normally and has no complications. The team of doctors led by Dr. Mitko Karagjozov successfully treated the patient’s open foot wound, which is now fully healed.

The patient was a diabetic admitted in Acibadem Sistina Hospital a year ago with an open wound.

He was previously treated at other hospitals, but the disease progressed. We performed angiography first, then bypass, and then started treating the wound with vac-systems, with vac-pumps. The patient had a diabetic foot problem and came to the hospital with an initial stage of gangrene. We performed a debridement, and the area on the bottom of the foot that was severely infected was very large. However, amputation was not done, i.e. the patient was saved”, said Dr. Karagjozov.

Pavleski’s family is very grateful. They say they did not believe he would be rescued. However, Pavleski’s leg is completely healed and the wound is closed.

“Our deepest gratitude to Dr. Karagjozov and nurse Sashka Lenc. Thank you is not enough to express how grateful we are to them. They take care of the patients as if they are a part of their own family. Nurse Sashka Lenc was available for her patient at all times whether it was a work day or not. These people deserve all the respect. They are the pride of the whole Thoracic Surgery Department, which works flawlessly”, says Milivoj’s daughter Marina Pavleska.
