The sixth course organized by the Macedonian Association of Perinatal Medicine and the Macedonian branch of the Ian Donald Interuniversity School of Medical Ultrasound was held in mid-November in Skopje. Part of this educational event focused on modern ultrasound achievements in obstetrics, gynecology and neonatology were the world eminent doctors: Dr. Aslim Kurjak (Croatia), Dr. Eberhard Merz (Germany), Dr. Gordana Adamova (Macedonia) , Dr. Aris Antsaklis (Greece), Dr. Snezhana Rakic ​​(Serbia), Dr. Snezhana Crnogorac (Montenegro), Dr. Apostol Atanasidis (Greece), Dr. Sonila Paskaj (Albania).

In addition, renowned gynecologists – Dr.Sci.Med. Nikola Badzakov, Ass.Prof.Dr. Mitko Ivanovski and Dr. Pavle Dimchev from Acibadem Sistina Hospital participated as invited lecturers.

The Ian Donald Interuniversity School of Medical Ultrasound was founded in 1981 and today it has national branches in 60 countries around the world, including Macedonia. Its main mission is to educate doctors using ultrasound in their daily practice. Attending this type of professional lectures, organized by already proven and experienced lecturers, the course participants have opportunity for continuing their education and keeping up to date with the latest advances in ultrasound technology and its implementation in gynecology, obstetrics and perinatology.
