Symptoms of depression occurred in 38% of active professional athletes, revealed the researches in 2015. It was the reason to hold two-day workshop on mental health in professional football players, organized by the Independent Trade Union of Professional Football Players of Macedonia. As a representative of Acibadem Sistina Hospital, Dr. Mihajlo Ivanovski, traumatologist surgeon, had a presentation on this topic among the present guests.

The aim of the event was to raise awareness about the mental health and to support players who often are victims of anxiety and depression. The joint conclusion of all present was that mental health is one of the most important segments both among football players and all athletes.

Dr. Ivanovski regularly visits the sports fields and is member of the team taking care for our greatest athlete names.
