Due to the increased blood needs during the coronavirus pandemic, Acibadem Sistina Hospital organized its sixth extraordinary blood donation this year.

During the blood donation, all measures and security protocols for complete protection against SARS-CoV-2 virus were followed. Blood donors were divided into groups in order to maintain physical distance and wore personal protective equipment.

64 units of blood were donated with this donation and Acibadem Sistina Hospital announced another blood donation action to be carried out on August 31, in cooperation with the municipal organization of Red Cross – Karposh and the Institute of Transfusion Medicine, due to the huge interest and great number of Acibadem Sistina employees donating blood.

More than 400 blood units have been donated at Acibadem Sistina Hospital including today’s blood donation.
