Prof. Igor Kaftandziev, MD, PhD, a medical director of Acibadem Sistina Hospital, traditionally as every year was part of the AO Trauma Basic Course and the Seminar on Lower Extremity Injuries which were held in Zagreb, as a lecturer. Along with several reputed surgeons and lecturers from Europe, he transferred his knowledge through lectures and discussions on the participants, and he demonstrated a practical application of operative techniques with exercises on bone models as well. In the course intended for the personnel in the operating rooms i.e. medical instrument technicians, two instrument technicians, Gjurgjica Cvetanovska and Advie Raim, from the Department of Traumatology and Orthopedics at Acibadem Sistina Hospital, participated for the first time.
