On the occasion of World Breast Cancer Awareness Month, an International Symposium on the topic: "Breast Cancer - Modern Approaches" was held in Skopje.

The event was organized by the Acibadem Group, Acibadem Sistina Hospital and EZRA.

Prominent doctors in the fields of surgery, radiology, oncology and pathology from Macedonia, Turkey and Albania gathered in one place, with the aim of exchanging knowledge and the latest experiences related to the diagnosis and treatment of breast cancer.

Lecturers from Acibadem Sistina Hospital were: Prof. Andreja Arsovski, MD, PhD - specialist in breast surgery, Maja Stojchevska-Chapova, MD, PhD - specialist in radiodiagnostics, Daniela Poposka, MD - specialist in oncology and radiotherapy and Prof. Deva Petrova, MD, PhD - specialist in oncology and radiotherapy.

The symposium presented contemporary approaches to treatment, new methods and perspectives in the care of breast cancer patients.

As representatives of Acibadem Sistina Hospital, this important event was attended by Sevim Suekinci, MD, MSc, Chief Executive Officer, and Emilija Mirchevska, MD, Medical Director.

Panel discussion open to patients was also organized as part of the symposium, aiming at raising awareness, educating and exchanging personal experiences related to dealing with the disease.
