EXPERTS FROM ACIBADEM SISTINA SPOKE ABOUT CONTEMPORARY CHALLENGES IN WOMEN'S HEALTH

Organized by the Macedonian Association of Gynecologists and Obstetricians, under the motto "Your Health, Your Strength", the Women's Health Week was celebrated for the fifth year in a row, which took place from May 11 to 17.

This year, the event was also realized through debate sessions dedicated to the latest expert knowledge, followed by open discussions with the participants.

The symposium brought together a large number of eminent specialists in the field of gynecology and obstetrics, with the aim of improving women's health care and exchanging the latest medical experiences and practices.

Gynecologists from Acibadem Sistina Clinical Hospital also actively participated, holding expert lectures on several current topics.

Aleksandar Bojadziev, MD, MSc, a specialist in gynecology and obstetrics, gave a lecture on the topic “PMOS/PCOS without a mask: a reproductive or metabolic disease?”, thus opening a discussion on the modern approach to the polycystic ovary syndrome diagnosis and treatment with an emphasis on its reproductive and metabolic implications.

Within the framework of the session “Chronic urinary problems in perimenopause”, moderated by Boban Sardzovski MD, a specialist in gynecology and obstetrics, frequent urinary symptoms in women in the perimenopausal period, their etiology and contemporary treatment options were discussed.

Additionally, within the framework of the topic “Perimenopause: more than hormones”, moderated by Gligor Dimitrov MD, PhD, a specialist in gynecology and obstetrics, the emphasis was placed on a comprehensive approach to women's health in this sensitive period of life. In addition to the hormonal aspect, the psychological, metabolic and cardiovascular challenges that women face were also covered.

Acibadem Sistina Hospital was one of the main supporters of the symposium, thus confirming its continuous commitment to advancing professional knowledge, supporting medical education and raising public awareness about the importance of prevention and regular gynecological examinations.
