The very much traditional course of AO Trauma was held on October 3^rd and 4^th, 2025, which this year was organized as a seminar titled: "Upper Extremity Trauma", and was attended by 36 participants and seven prominent lecturers from the country, as well as three lecturers from abroad (Croatia, Serbia and Austria). The seminar was organized in the form of lectures and small discussion groups, as well as a final panel discussion of all participants and lecturers. The interest was major, since this was an opportunity for doctors, specialists and residents in traumatology and orthopaedics to learn about the latest achievements in the area of ​​upper extremity trauma, as well as their practical application in the everyday work.

Prof. Igor Kaftandzhiev, MD, PhD, actively participated in the seminar, both as a lecturer and co-chair, and Daniel Jakimovski, MD, and Filip Vidoevski, MD from Acibadem Sistina Hospital were among the attendees as well.

The AO Trauma events are gatherings of doctors in the field of traumatology and orthopaedics, which form part of the world's largest educational network, formed in 1958 and having its headquarters in Davos, Switzerland. Today, it extends to all continents defining the standards in treatment, but also in education and research in that same field. In Macedonia, such events have been held since 2017, when the AO Trauma Europe branch for Macedonia was first established and a seminar was organized.
