In a pleasant and relaxed atmosphere of the first workshop held at the Department of Pediatrics at Acibadem Sistina Hospital, mothers and their babies had the opportunity to learn useful techniques and get advises in the field of pediatric physical therapy. Via practical demonstrations and exercises, this workshop covered the topic "Tummy Position and Turning - First Steps to Motor Independence."

Special accent was placed on the importance of the tummy position as a basis for further healthy development, particularly in babies who show resistance or cry when placed in this position. The parents got clear directions and practical solutions how to support their baby with love and knowledge. In addition, attention was paid to:

• Advises when and how to start exercises, without the risk of overstimulation

The event was dedicated to babies aged 2 to 6 months, and the aim was individual approach and opportunity for parents to ask questions. The workshop was led by Dijana Marinovska, Master of Physical Therapy in Pediatrics, with many years of experience in working with infants and their motor development.
