"ACIBADEM SISTINA" DOCTORS PRESENTED THEIR LECTURES AT THE 21ST MMA CONGRESS

 Presenting their lectures, doctors from Acıbadem Sistina Hospital participated in the 21st Congress of the Macedonian Medical Association that was held from September 11 to 14 in Skopje. The event brought together over 1000 participants, renowned doctors from all over the world, and represented a four-day platform where the latest achievements in various medical fields could be heard.

The Congress offered a rich program of lectures and poster presentations, allowing fruitful discussions to be developed, opinions and experiences to be  shared, and new perspectives in medicine to be opened as well.

Doctors from Acıbadem Sistinal Hospital also participated in this important scientific meeting. Biljana Kakaraskoska-Boceska, MD, specialist in microbiology, spoke on the topic “CAESAR Network and Monitoring of Antimicrobial Resistance in the Republic of North Macedonia”. Prof. Andrej Petrov, MD, specialist in dermatovenerology, gave a lecture dedicated to international guidelines for the vitiligo management. Associate Professor Kornelija Trajkova, MD, specialist in gynecology and obstetrics, delivered a lecture on the topic “Universal/Gender Neutral HPV Vaccine”. Biljana Kjurchikj, MD, specialist in microbiology, together with Kornelija Trajkova, MD, addressed the topic “Microbiome on the Tappet: Is it Dysbiosis or is it a Disease?” Prof. Katerina Kubelka-Sabit, MD, specialist in pathological anatomy, presented the comparison between conventional cytology and liquid-based cytology. Additionally, Vesna Pljakoska, MD, specialist in dermatovenerology, acted as moderator of the panel dedicated to sexually transmitted diseases organized by the Association for Sexually Transmitted Diseases and the Macedonian Multidisciplinary Association for Human Microbiome.

By their active participation in the Congress, the Acibadem Sistina doctors once again stressed their commitment to the medical science development and the clinical practice advancement.
