Following an anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) injury, Matheus Lemos, a Vardar football player underwent a successful surgery at Acibadem Sistina Hospital. The surgery was performed by Dr. Mihajlo Ivanovski, a specialist in traumatology, who has a series of successful interventions in professional athletes behind him.
"It is a common injury among professional athletes. The arthroscopy and reconstruction surgery of the anterior cruciate ligament, to repair this injury, is a routine intervention, performed at our hospital with minimally invasive technology as well as using a quadriceps tendon. The operative and post-operative courses went well. "Now Matheus has a period of rehabilitation ahead of him, and our goal is to return him at the field as soon as possible", says Dr. Ivanovski.
