The Macedonian Society of Breast Radiology (MSBR), in cooperation with the European Society of Breast Imaging (EUSOBI), organized the annual scientific conference dedicated to advancing knowledge and practices in the field of breast radiology. This year, the focus was on breast cancer screening, with an emphasis on modern diagnostic strategies, proven methods in clinical practice and future directions for early detection of the disease.

The lecture by Maja Stojchevska-Chapova, MD, PhD from Acibadem Sistina Hospital, on the topic of "Initial Steps in Breast MRI" draw a special attention at the conference.

Dr. Chapova, as one of the leading experts in this field, has made a significant contribution to the development of breast radiology in our country. She introduced modern diagnostic methods, including various types of biopsies, with a special accent on core biopsy, wire marking, as well as magnetic resonance imaging of the breast that is used as a standard procedure today.

Her lecture offered a practical and clear insight into the basics of MRI diagnostics, highlighting its importance in the early detection and accurate assessment of breast cancer.

The conference was enriched as well by the participation of prominent international experts, who shared experiences and most modern approaches in screening and diagnostics, contributing to the improvement of professional practice and international cooperation.
