NEW TESTS FOR AUTOIMMUNE DISEASE DIAGNOSIS

28/11/2025

Tests for autoimmune disease diagnosis allow us to determine if the immune system reacts incorrectly and produces antibodies against its own tissues, which is the basis for establishing the exact diagnosis. They help to assess the activity of inflammation, monitor the course of the disease and the response to therapy, as well as to timely recognize the risks of possible outcomes, allowing us to have a more precise and individual approach to each patient. In this direction, Acibadem Sistina Hospital has introduced new tests for diagnosis of these diseases.
• Anti-CCP - this test detects complex antibodies that often appear in people with rheumatoid arthritis, allowing for early detection and better monitoring of the disease,
• Anti-dsDNA - this marker is closely related to systemic lupus, helping to confirm the diagnosis and monitor the activity of the disease,
• ANA Screen - antinuclear antibody screening helps detect autoimmune conditions, offering a first insight into possible systemic inflammatory processes,
• p-ANCA - the test detects specific antibodies that are associated with various vasculitides, allowing for a more complete assessment of inflammatory conditions of the blood vessels,
• Antiphospholipid panel – this panel detects the presence of antiphospholipid antibodies, which are important in the diagnosis of antiphospholipid syndrome and the risk of thrombosis,

• Gluten Sensitivity/Celiac Disease Panel – the test checks the body's reaction to gluten and helps detect celiac disease, offering guidance on proper nutrition and health monitoring.
