Continuous professional development of medical staff is a top priority at Acibadem Sistina Hospital. Intraoperative neuromonitoring is a highly specialized technique that requires modern equipment and a skilled team of neurologists to monitor nervous system functions during surgery.

In this context, the neurology team, including neurologists and nurses from the Department of Neurology, participated in a training led by Dutch experts, focusing on advanced intraoperative neuromonitoring techniques. This method is used during surgery to safeguard nervous system function, employing electrophysiological tools that enable real-time monitoring of neural structures. The benefits of this approach include increased surgical precision, prevention of nervous tissue injury, reduction of neurological deficits, enhanced decision-making during procedures, improved surgical outcomes, and faster patient recovery.
