On June 7, an expert meeting organized by the Macedonian Society for Interventional Radiology - MZIR was held at ACIBADEM SISTINA Hospital. The latest knowledge in the development of interventional radiology and oncology was presented through expert presentations and case reports by eminent radiologists from the state and private hospitals in the country, and the event was attended by more than 30 doctors.
As lecturers from Acibadem Sistina Hospital were Ass. Prof. Dr. Aleksandar Gjoreski, an interventional radiologist, head of the Department of Oncology, Radiology and Nuclear Medicine and president of the Macedonian Association of Radiologists, Prof. Dr. Zoran Trajkovski, a specialist in radiology, Ass. Prof. Dr. Menka Lazareska, a subspecialist in neuroradiology and Dr. Dejan Taneski, a resident in radiology. Among the more attractive topics that caused great interest in those present at the expert meeting were: the pain treatment, cryoablation of tumors, embolization of the prostate, as well as other vascular and neurovascular interventions, etc.
