“ACIBADEM SISTINA” SUCCESSFUL DEBATE AT “HALK OSIGURUVANJE” – WE RAISE THE SELF-AWARENESS FOR REGULAR BREAST CHECKUPS

Underlining the importance of preventive gynecological and breast self-examinations, pointing out the risks and how women can recognize changes in their bodies, Acibadem Sistina Hospital, on the occasion of the month dedicated to the breast cancer, organized its fifth workshop at “Halk osiguruvanje” company. In October, a team of doctors from the hospital visited domestic companies and institutions, emphasizing the importance of raising awareness and care for their own health through educational workshops. The activity has been part of the “Fight Back” campaign on female health.

 
As a socially responsible company, Acibadem Sistina Hospital contributes to raising public awareness. Thus the importance of prevention in the treatment of breast cancer, i.e. the fact that early detection in such cases may also mean complete healing of potential patients was presented before the employees of “Halk osiguruvanje”.
At a time of an increasing number of breast cancer patients, preventive screening and self-examinations are crucial for the citizens.
The workshop at “Halk osiguruvanje” was attended by Dr. Maja Stojchevska-Chapova, a specialist in radiodiagnostics and Dr. Biljana Crcareva, a nuclear medicine specialist.
 
During the workshop the specialists answered all the questions by the company employees about the disease, the risks women are exposed to, and how can they perform self-examinations.
Acibadem Sistina Hospital has organized a total of five workshops on female health. The first was at “RK Vardar”, then at the “Tinex” company, the City of Skopje Administration office, “Triglav osiguruvanje” and now at “Halk osiguruvanje”.
