“ACIBADEM SISTINA” HAS STARTED CARDIAC SURGERIES IN CHILDREN COVERED BY HIF

Acibadem Sistina Hospital has started performing cardiac surgeries in children (0 to 18 years of age) suffering from cardiovascular diseases and they are covered by the Health Insurance Fund of Macedonia.

The opportunity has aroused from the Annex to the Contract on performing and paying healthcare services in the area of cardiovascular surgery for insured persons, signed by the HIF and “Acibadem Sistina”.
These interventions are performed by an experienced team of doctors led by Dr. Vladimir Chadikovski, the only licensed pediatric cardiac surgeon in the country, together with doctors from “Acibadem”, Turkey with over 15.000 interventions behind them. The team includes a dozen cardiac surgeons, cardiologists, specialists in internal medicine, anesthesiologists, cardiovascular perfusionists and pediatricians specialized in cardiac interventions in children, one of the best in the region.
The advantage is in availability of experienced medical team from Turkey in the country every week and their participation in the treatment of cardiovascular diseases in children. In the next period, “Acibadem Sistina” aims to become a reference center for the treatment of congenital heart diseases in children not only in Macedonia but throughout the Balkans.
