ACIBADEM SISTINA SURGEONS AT THE ONLINE CONGRESS OF MMA

With a joint presentation of the topic “Case Report: Fournier Gangrene in a Female Patient”, surgeons from Acibadem Sistina Hospital – Dr. Mirjana Josifovska from the Department of Aesthetic, Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, Dr. Frosina Adamovska and Dr. Toni Josifovski, MSc. from the Department of Digestive Surgery participated in the “First Online MMA Congress 2020”.
The case is very specific. Although the disease most commonly occurs in middle-aged men and it is ten times less common in women, this case includes a 70-year-old obese female patient with Body Mass Index of 40, heart problems and Fournier gangrene. Nevertheless, the patient successfully underwent surgery at Acibadem Sistina Hospital and 7 days later she was discharged.

The online congress is being held in the period from November 10 to November 20, organized by the Macedonian Medical Association (MMA) and in cooperation with the Medical Faculty – Skopje
