NEW SEROLOGICAL TEST AT ACIBADEM SISTINA THAT DETERMINES TOTAL COVID-19 ANTIBODY CONCENTRATION

Acibadem Sistina Hospital has introduced a new serological test determining the total concentration of IgM and IgG antibodies in the blood. The test is performed on a sample of venous blood, it takes no more than 5 minutes to perform it, and the results are obtained in one hour.

The test is performed using a renowned SIEMENS immunology analyzer.
It is an ultra-sensitive test, at a price of 1200 denars, which can clearly determine the exact immune status of patients who have already been infected with Covid-19. Determining the total concentration of immunoglobulins lgM and IgG is extremely important in determining the treatment for each Covid-19 patient individually. This serological test facilitates the monitoring of the patient by monitoring the concentration of antibodies, which in turn helps to determine the course of treatment of the patient. Additional diagnostic markers are also used in the Infectious Diseases Department for Covid-19 patients to facilitate the monitoring of the patient’s health during therapy
