Mario Ilievski, a football player and main striker of FC Prishtina, successfully underwent surgery at Acibadem Sistina Hospital for the Achilles tendon injury on his right leg, sustained during a football match.

The surgical intervention was performed by Mihajlo Ivanovski, MD, a traumatology specialist at Acibadem Sistina Hospital.

According to Dr. Ivanovski, the surgical intervention was successful and went without any complications. The important rehabilitation stage will follow in the coming period. Ilievski is expected to be absent from the football fields for a period of 4 to 6 months.
