Assoc. Prof. Biljana Choneska-Jovanova, MD, a specialist in pediatrics - hematologist-oncologist, gained recognition for her significant contribution to the "Formal Education for Sick Children" initiative, aimed at ensuring continuity in the education of children who, due to health reasons, attend the classes in hospital conditions.

This recognition is gratitude for her dedication, professionalism and sincere care for the youngest patients, as well as for her support in creating conditions for education to remain accessible to children facing serious health challenges.

The initiative is part of the Ministry of Education and Science’s project in cooperation with the Ministry of Health and SANO NGO, aimed to provide equal educational possibilities and send a clear message that the disease must not be an obstacle to learning and experiencing a personal development.

The contribution by Assoc. Prof. Choneska-Jovanova, MD, is a true example of humanity, vision and social responsibility, where medical care and education are united in the interest of children and their future.
