Endovascular And Vascular Surgery

The Department of Endovascular and Vascular Surgery covers minimally invasive (endovascular), surgical and hybrid (combined) treatment of all blood vessels in the human body (arteries, veins and lymphatics), except for the heart and brain vessels.

These procedures have been performed by a team led by a vascular surgeon, in close collaboration with an interventional radiologist and excellent coordination with other hospital departments such as Cardiac Surgery, Cardiology, Neurology, Pulmonology and Endocrinology, as well as in very close cooperation with experienced anesthesiologists, ensuring the best possible outcome for patients.

Department activities include complete patients’ monitoring, starting from diagnostics: examination, indices, color ultrasound/Doppler, CT and magnetic angiograms (arteriograms and venograms), while angiography (DSA) has been performed using an angiograph.
