2. Additional Education

Dr. Balevski has pursued an extensive range of specialized training throughout his illustrious career, further enriching his expertise in various facets of cardiology. Notable among these are:

 

§ In 2019, Dr. Balevski completed Heart Biopsy training at the Department of Cardiology, University Hospital Zurich, Switzerland, enhancing his proficiency in this critical cardiac procedure.

 

§ In the same year, he undertook training in PFO and ASD closing devices with Prof. Milan Djukic at the Pediatric Cardiology Department, Tirshova Pediatric University Hospital Belgrade, broadening their scope of pediatric cardiology interventions.

 

§ In 2012, Dr. Balevski received in-depth education in the retrograde approach of Chronic Total Occlusion (CTO) under the guidance of Dr. James Spratt in London, UK, further advancing their capabilities in this specialized intervention.

 

§ Dr. Balevski had the privilege of training with Prof. Dr. Georg Gaul in RotablationTM techniques at the Department of Cardiology, Hanusch Hospital, Vienna in 2010, augmenting their proficiency in this specialized rotational atherectomy procedure.

 

Of particular note is Dr. Balevski's extensive training in Transcatheter Aortic Valve Implantation (TAVI), undertaken at various prestigious institutions across Europe. This comprehensive program, spanning from 2004 to 2012, included training at the Department of Cardiology, University Hospital Graz, Austria, as well as at institutions in Bad Neuham, Austria; Mirano, Italy; and Leipzig, Germany. Notably, Dr. Balevski received mentorship in TAVI from renowned experts including Prof. Matijas Bunz at the University Clinical Center Ljubljana, Slovenia.
