Acibadem Sistina Hospital meets all the requirements for receiving subsidies for employee contributions and is therefore part of the support, says the hospital’s management. Mr. Gun Gunsoy, its chief executive officer, says that just as every other affected company, the hospital has the right to apply for and to receive financial assistance. He adds that the hospital has about 1,000 employees and during this time of crisis, when the hospital’s revenues have been decreased for more than 70 percent, not a single employee was laid off. At the same time, there was a decrease in work intensity in the hospital, with extremely high costs for medical devices and equipment, which increased by more than 300 percent.

In 2019, for its 972 employees, Acibadem Sistina paid salary contributions in the amount of 4,480,000 euros for the Macedonian Buddget and gross salary of 18,748,000 euros or an average of 1,105 euros per employee, which makes us the most responsible private company in the Republic of Macedonia. The Health Fund contributed 16.7 percent of the total revenue. In every company, every employee is equally important, and managing to keep any job position, whether in a small or large company, in these conditions is an equal success. The aim of these measures is to take the right steps which will provide significant support to private operators and employers in overcoming this crisis which, regardless of size, equally affects everyone. Acibadem Sistina has participated in providing assistance and so far has provided 9,120 quarantine night stays for Macedonian citizens who have returned from abroad, says Mr. Gunsoy.

This weekend some media reported that Acibadem Sistina was one of the companies that received subsidies for employee contributions, among other larger companies and foreign investment companies.
