The Pediatrics Department consists of a Polyclinic, Day Hospital, Pediatrics Ward and Emergency Center. The pediatric team is made up of proven experts with a long-term experience in diagnostics and treatment of even the most complex pediatric diseases. The Department is uniquely designed, featuring elements appealing to children, in an attempt to make our youngest patients feel as if they are not in a hospital. As a result, we eliminate the fear of seeing the doctor.


Our highly professional team of pediatricians at the Polyclinic takes care of children’s health- from newborns to teenagers of up to 16 years of age. All preventive check-up examinations and monitoring of the psycho-motor development in healthy children are performed at the Polyclinic. In addition to check-ups, examinations of sick children are performed for the purpose of timely diagnosis and treatment of all pediatric diseases. A team of pediatric subspecialists in cardiology, pulmoalergology, neurology and nephrology is available in specific  cases. The Polyclinic  features specialist and subspecialist outpatient clinics conveniently designed to provide maximum comfort.


The Pediatric Ward provides treatment  to children patients from 0 to 16 years of age. At this war, the most modern diagnosis and treatment is provided, based on worldwide practiced protocols for treatment of diseases in children. It has 15  attractively designed single accommodation facilities that meet the highest health and aesthetic criteria. Rooms and suites accommodate parents’ stay with their children.


The most modern Pediatric Emergency Center ensures  permanent care for the children at our Pediatrics Departmentpatients. It was established by following the example of world renowned emergency centers, making it a leading pediatric center in the region. It employs a multi-disciplinary team of doctors  to treat all childhood associated diseases. The Emergency Center operates 24 hours a day, every day of the week.




The Department employs a team of pediatric subspecialists in cardiology, pulmoalergology, neurology and nephrology, available in cases of specific diseases.

Cardiology and Rheumatology. Cardiac health care of your child starts during pregnancy. Pregnant women at “Acibadem Sistina” have the opportunity of fetal echocardiography enabling early detection of cardiac anomalies in the fetus. The pediatric cardiologists team performs cardiac screening of infants and cardiac ultrasound in children. Special emphasis is put on the diagnosis and treatment of rheumatic diseases.

Pulmoalergology.  Our pulmoalergologist team provides allergy type diagnostics by using allergic skin tests. They also detect cough causes by using FeNO  (nitric oxide)  to measure the degree of allergic bronchial susceptibility; detect asthma of the respiratory tract and measure the degree of air flow through the respiratory tract with a pulmonary function test.

Neurology. The Department of Pediatrics experts provide diagnosis and treatment of neurological conditions in childhood (developmental monitoring of premature babies and risky pregnancy babies, epilepsy and epileptic syndromes in childhood, neuro-muscular diseases, infections of the neuro-muscular system, immune and degenerative diseases of the neurology system, acute and chronic headaches, and developmental disorders).

Nephrology.  Subspecialist examination by a pediatric nephrologist enables early detection of congenital malformations of the urinary system, neonatal echographic nephrology screening, early diagnosis and treatment of urinary infections in children and early detection and monitoring of chronic nephrology diseases. Our hospital provides consultative examinations  enabling decisions on operative treatment of nephrology diseases.

Day Hospital

The Day Hospital, with a capacity of 4 beds, provides care for sick children who  are admitted for a short period of time. Infusion therapy, drug administartion, rehydration and inhalation can be performed in this area.


By introducing pediatric hematology-oncology, “Acibadem Sistina” has become the first private hospital to offer diagnostics and treatment of hematology-oncology diseases in children.
