The Gold Seal of Approval is a testament that quality is a result of the commitment of the hospital in providing safe and efficient services to its patients. JCI accreditation guarantees that every patient of Acibadem Sistina receives safe and highest quality healthcare services.

“Acibadem Sistina” is the first hospital in the country and the region to be awarded the prestigious accreditation by Joint Commission International (JCI). This accreditation also means that the Republic of Macedonia is part of the world map of more than 100 countries worldwide, with hospitals accredited by JCI. The JCI accreditation awarded to Acibadem Sistina is changing the healthcare system in the country and proves that Macedonia can follow international standards. In the period between April 25 and April 29 2016, “Acibadem Sistina” Hospital underwent a through process of detailed revision. During the revision, a team of experts from the Joint Commission International evaluated the activities of the hospital and its compliance with the highest hospital standards in various areas, including: International Patient Safety Goals, Assessment and Care of a Patients, Anesthesia and Surgical Care, Medication Management, Patient and Family Education… 13 Expert teams worked intensively during the preparations for accreditation. The process was guided by the Quality Department.

Patient Safety Through JCI Standards

Joint Commission International is the leading hospital accreditation worldwide, due to the strict standards that are focused on areas that directly affect the care and treatment of the patient. JCI Accreditation Program covers the entire process of care; from the patient’s admission into the hospital, through monitoring the treatment, to the patient’s discharge. Briefly, JCI standards are a step towards excellence in patient care. The final result is a reliable and safe healthcare.
