ACIBADEM ENTERS INTO SERBIA AS PART OF ITS GROWTH STRATEGY FOR EASTERN EUROPEAN MARKET

Acibadem Saglik Hizmetleri ve Tikaret A.S. as part of the Turkish Group Acibadem, including Acibadem Sistina Hospital in Skopje, has bought a majority stake in the Serbian Bel Medic Hospital. Acquisition of 70% of the Belgrade clinic’ capital has been realized via its subsidiary Acibadem City Clinic B.V. Acibadem’s expansion into Eastern Europe demonstrates its success and proven continuous growth. Bel Medic is the sixth hospital in Acibadem’s European portfolio, and Serbia is the fourth country of operation. Turkey’s proven hospital group Acibadem has three hospitals in Bulgaria and one in Netherlands and Macedonia each. Acibadem Sistina Hospital in Skopje is the leading private hospital in the country and the most famous in the region.

Bel Medic has operated one hospital and five outpatient clinics in Belgrade so far. Founded in 1995 by Dr. Jasmina Knezevic and Milan Knezevic, Bel Medic is a leading high-quality private healthcare provider in Serbia. It will operate under the name “Acibadem Bel Medic”.
